Welcoming Address from the President of Chinese Welding Society

On behalf of the Chinese Welding Society, I’m very much honored to inform that Chinese Welding Society (CWS) is going to host the Sixth Asian Pacific IIW International Congress in Tianjin, China on October 10 -13, 2008.

Welding, as one of the most important processing technology in manufacturing industry, has played an important role in China’s national economic development in the last two decades. Welding science and technology is not only closely related to our daily lives, but also becomes a common wealth of the world people.

This Sixth Asian Pacific IIW International Congress aims to bring together professionals and experts from a wide range of industries, research institutes and academic backgrounds to have an intensive exchange on the state-of-art issues of welding and joining technology as well as their industrial applications. We hope that through this international congress, we may find out better ways to further develop welding and related technologies to better serve the world people.
